Lima Co. 3rd Battalion 1st Marines
November 7-10, 2024
Camp Pendleton, CA
Mission Statement
From November 7-10, 2024, the Marines, Navy Corpsmen, and Gold Star Families of Lima 3/1 will execute a unit reunion sponsored by the Warrior Reunion Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide reunion experiences for units deployed to combat together.

Your unit planning committee is working in partnership with Warrior Reunion Foundation staff to plan and execute a once-in-a-lifetime reunion experience to celebrate our victories on the battlefield and to honor the legacy of our service.
The unit planning committee members are: Wayne Hertz, Micah Wright, Bill Sodja, and Melissa Hanks Ketchel

Camp Talega / Camp Horno aboard Camp Pendleton, CA

WRF will coordinate transportation between John Wayne Airport (SNA) and the reunion site for those flying. Transportation from SNA to the reunion site will be available on November 7 from 1pm to 5pm based on need. Transportation back to SNA will leave the reunion site on November 10 at 10am and arrive at the airport by 11am.
Please book your flights accordingly if you plan to use our transportation to and from the airport.

We are grateful you will be joining the combat veterans of Lima 3/1 to honor and remember your loved ones.
WRF is honored to offer you the opportunity to let us take care of your travel and lodging through the purchase of airline tickets and making your lodging arrangements.
Additionally, we will reimburse fuel costs for those driving to the reunion. We are unable to offer reimbursement for any costs other than fuel.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Warrior Reunion Foundation is able to fulfill its mission of reuniting combat veterans and Gold Star Families.

Veteran Lodging
Lodging will be available in the Quonset huts at Camp Talega for any 3/1 veterans.
Veterans with families will need to make separate arrangements.
Travel Support for Veterans
WRF understands not everyone is able to take time off work, as well as the added expenses associated with travelling to the reunion. We do not want anyone deciding not to attend based on this.
We offer support through the purchase, not reimbursement, of plane tickets or fuel cards for those who would otherwise be unable to attend due to travel expenses. We also provide transportation from the airport to the reunion site for attendees who are flying, upon request.
For veterans who have the means, we ask that you facilitate your own travel. This allows us to provide additional support to Gold Star Families and those veterans who would otherwise be unable to attend, for yours and future reunions. If you are unsure that your situation is appropriate for travel support, reach out to your planning committee or by using the Contact Us form below.
