Veterans Day 2020 - Honor

November 11, 2020

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Every day we strive to honor the service of those who have secured the freedoms we enjoy today. While we face seemingly unprecedented trials in this challenging time, our lives are immeasurably better living under the banner of freedom that our flag represents. We know that freedom was secured at an immeasurable cost to those who have served, and to our military families.

On this Veterans Day, we join all Americans in honoring the service and sacrifice made by all who have served our country, as well as the military families who make that sacrifice possible.

Today I find myself reflecting on the experience of our Vietnam Veterans, who returned home from battle to a country so torn and polarized that their service was; for a time; forgotten…or worse. They are not forgotten by my generation of veterans. We know they made a down payment on the future America we enjoy today, and we know they worked hard to ensure that no one who wears the uniform would again be forgotten. WRF is honored to be working with several Vietnam era units to coordinate reunions in 2021.

On this November 11th, it is more important than ever to recognize and honor those that have served. Personally, I would like to thank all the brothers and sisters in arms with whom I have had the privilege of serving our great country. Thank you all for your continued support of our mission, and God bless the United States of America!
